I’m a writer, writing coach, and mindfulness instructor.

My work has appeared in The New York Times, New York Press, Paste, East Bay Express, Sculpture, and The Southampton Review. I’m writing a memoir connected to my Modern Love essay, “Auditioning for the Role of Boyfriend.”

I taught English at the City University of New York - LaGuardia Community College for four years and was an advisor there for six years. Before that, I produced and directed audiobooks at Simon & Schuster.

I’m a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and trained in MBSR at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness. I’m also a certified mindfulness instructor through the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults. I completed additional workshops in trauma-informed mindfulness practices through the Lineage Project.
